I have been trying to look for some information about it on google but offered no help. So I thought I would ask here. But I have 3 computers that i want to hook up to the same internet connection via DSL the confusing part is 2 of them are regular desktops and one is a laptop that can have wireless. Two of the computers are upstairs so i don’t see how it is possible without wires going everywhere. PLEASE HELP! Any Information is well Appreciated.

How can I connect to Xbox Live and computers at the same time?
Filed Under Computer Networking | 1 Comment
Concerned08 asked:
There needs to be internet for computer use as well.
I have two internet modem boxes and have to unplug and replug internet cords to use Live. I also have a wireless router (one computer doesn’t have wireless and it is plugged directly into the router).
Is there a cheap way to have use of the computers and the Xbox at the same time while having decent internet strength?

How do I set up two computers to allow incoming remote desktop connections on my network?

Geminianbliss asked:
I have a bunch of computers on my network. I have configured my router to route any incoming remote desktop connection to my server. However, I want to be able to remote in to another one of my machines too. If I add that to the list additionally, how is the router going to know which machine I want to route in to. How do I configure my router to allow me to remote in to more than one computer on my network ? I have a DLink DIR - 655 router.

Can connecting another computer to my network influence the connections of the other computers?
Filed Under Computer Networking | 4 Comments
Rick R asked:
I had two computers both connected to a wireless router. Yesterday I connected a third computer to the network and, although the connection goes through for this new computer, one of the original computers now says Limited or no connectivity and cannot connect to the Internet. Is it possible that the new computer is using up too much bandwidth and is therefore preventing the other computer from accessing the Internet?

Me and my roommates have 3 computers, 2 are connected with wireless, and the other one is plugged into the router. 2 have vista and one has XP. How can i make the music folders on each computer shared, so I can just drag songs off the other computers onto mine? I tried networking it and it always ask for a password to access the other computers. How would I do this using XP and Vista ? Thanks!
